Wise move, at 1pm we tried to check in, and sure enough, no rooms were available. After reading other reviews, I suspected we may not be able to depend on an early check in, so I packed our swim/spa gear in a separate bag. The pool was very nice, the spa was wonderful, and our room was large, clean and had a great view. It was out of the way enough that we felt like we were getting away from it all. We wanted to be close to Grandma's house, and Pala fit the bill. We had our first couple's overnight after our second daughter was born.
